Rope.

Jute rope

You see this rope. ^^ It’s a thick jute rope coiled from three thick strand. And each strand is made of multiple strands.  And those multiple strands are made of multiple thin jute fibres. The rope has the strength to pull any heavy stone/object and withstand tension force.

When it breaks, people say, “Suddenly, the rope snapped.”

But the rope breaks each thin fibre by fibre.

Rope fraying

Sometimes ending a long-standing relationship (of any kind) can be perceived as a sudden decision by others. Mainly, when it was preceded by an unpleasant incident or altercation. But it is not always the case.

Relationships too, like a thick jute rope frays each thin fibre by fibre. It may appear like a bolt out of the blue but chances are you didn’t notice the rope fraying. You only noticed when it snapped.
